Disability 101 is a 60 minute virtual learning session for up to 250 participants that provides the training that school leaders and staff need to build communities where all students feel a strong sense of belonging. Through a live presentation and conversation, attendees learn about disability as diversity and how to be an advocate for inclusion and positive social change in their building and district. 

Building on the concepts introduced in Disability 101, this 60-minute session dives deeper into strategies for promoting disability as diversity. Through learning and discussion around policies, supportive practices and actions, attendees will be empowered with the tools to advance ongoing work. 

This 60 minute live webinar for up to 250 participants is for anyone in a child’s “village,” who contributes to their growth and development. Raising Kids Who Include is designed to provide practical, actionable advice and strategies for supporting kids as they develop the beliefs and skills needed to include others. 

This 60-minute Diversity virtual learning session is designed to dive into this particular Standard domain. Intended for up to 50 participants, educators will reflect on their own backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs and the ones that impact the ways students show up at school — and how their beliefs and biases affect their interactions with students and dynamics in the classroom. 

This 60-minute Community virtual learning session is designed to explore this particular Standard domain. Intended for up to 50 participants, educators will discuss the ways they can more readily anticipate and support the needs of students, in order to build community where everyone can thrive. Through this, attendees will focus on ways to center relationships and foster cultures of respect, support, and inclusion. 

This 60-minute Advocacy virtual learning session is designed to delve into this particular Standard domain. Intended for up to 50 participants, it gives educators the opportunity to understand and reflect on engaging in advocacy for positive social change while centering the experiences of marginalized groups most impacted by existing systems of education. 

This 30-45 minute module includes three short and concise sessions (learning bytes), examining common barriers and ableist beliefs that limit participation and learning, exploring strategies and supports that can promote inclusion, and introducing inclusive planning strategies as educators build spaces that aim to meet the needs of all learners. 

This 30-45 minute module, centered around CEL’s The Nora Project’s Ability Inclusive Mindset, includes three short and concise sessions (learning bytes) which examine how accessibility, supports, and a commitment to human dignity can all contribute to inclusive educational environments. Educators will explore ways to support students through challenging moments, focus on individual needs vs. diagnoses, and promote respect for all learners.  

This 30-45 minute module includes three short and concise sessions (learning bytes) for paraeducators, focusing on their essential work of supporting learning and inclusion. Paraeducators will explore their role on the classroom team, understand how to facilitate student participation without overstepping, and learn how to respond to challenges as they occur.
